sooo why is scalping game systems allowed, but not tickets?
ie. wii, ps3's etc?

and with cell phones, marketplace rules do not allow the sale of brand new phones... soo why the different standards for different items?

I agree with you there. I think its kind of rediculous people are comming on here asking for twice as much as they paid for a gamming consol just because its new. Same rules should apply with tickets IMO

Exactly plus who cares, you dont have to open that thread or even go in the market place. Plus its the person's choice to pay 2x the amount of it.

True but like it was said before scalping tickets is illegal.

It's simple. There are laws against scalping event tickets, while there are no laws against selling a game console for a higher price.

I think it's ridiculous, that you can't spell ridiculous.

Scalping is illegal, I'm trying to find the website.

Yeah and what's the deal with people trying to sell their used cars for over the Blue Book value? Or people who flip houses. Or people who buy stocks at a low price and then have the nerve to try to sell them at a higher price.

Oh wait, those things are all legal... scalping isn't.

Is it against the marketplace rules to post if someones price is too high?

Not like "youre price is too high"

but "That is avaialable at XXX retailer for only YYY.YY$, here is a link" ?

Yet... give it another few generations of consoles, and it'll be much worse...

This has been beaten to death. Do a search. Tickets are for events, theyre very limited, and when theyre over theyre over. Its not the same as selling a mass produced item that will eventually be available, or can be bought and sold several times and still be useful. But yeah, bottom line is ticket scalping is illegal, selling items with markup isnt.
