Hello,
Hey guys, i got a mtx 3002, it runs 300watts rms at 4ohm, and 400rms at 2ohms, but my desire is to hook it up to a dvc 3ohm subwoofer, so the load will be 1.5ohm.
Could this work? what would happen?
thanks,
soupey

it might be too much of a load for ur amp, ur definitely going to be putting a huge strain on ur amp to get the extra juice out...and jus like any amp thats running at a low impedance, ur gona run into heat issues and possible clipping depending on how much power the amp is handling...

do it, you shouldn't cook it, if its too much it should just go into protection mode.
your amp will fry, it's rated at 300x1@4ohm it will not do 1.5 ohm Mono for very long.
