I must warn you though, all of this is pretty one sided to europe. They put a Dodge Ram 1500 vs Ariel Atom on the track.

Over all a pretty good video.

Jeremy Clarkson videos tend to suck, this one was just worse than usual. Without James and Richard, Jeremy is awful.

He's pretty good with words and twisting things to fit his conclusion. Good for him.

He's an analogy master! Don't always agree with him, but entertaining nonetheless.

What? Took me a half-hour to change mine yesterday because I had to remove my damn fender lining and replace my headlight bulb from in the wheel well.

Generalizations ain't so hot ;).

Francis Scott Key was American anyways, but probably of British descendency... like nearly everything in America.

I don't mind the guy. He has done alot of pieces praising various domestics. Giving the good and bad in an entertaining manor.

But occasionally he totally sells out to the euro/import fanboys with garbage like this. He doesn't know what cars hes driving, makes constant mistakes on specs, and makes horrible comparisons.

The only thing this DVD is good for is doubling as a coaster for my beer.

didn't he once race a lotus against a V6 mustang and claim it was a V8?

By the way, who can really take a guy seriously after he considers drinking a 140F beer a reward?:dunno:

Not quite, he raced a V6 Mustang convertible against a horse and claimed it was a V8 GT.

How about Asian cars?

It is not fair to compare domestic cars to European, European are way more nicer, but way more expensive too ... (to buy here) :dunno:

Good watch. Clarkson may have some odd mismatches in the video but for the most part american cars are poorly manufactured compared to their european and japanse counterparts and everyone knows it. Why do people who drive ameriacan cars get pissed off when they are told this? Its painfully obvious that the japanse and european car makers are lightyears ahead of them.

americans are to full of them selves......big displacement doesn't do much with out fine tuning.....like the japs can pull out 250hp off a 2.0L and american like what? 4.6L 300 hp

And yet the American car still has 300hp, and the Japanese car still has 240hp.:dunno:

British people drink warm beer, probably the strangest thing I learned in Europe.

A beer left out in the sun all day isn't exactly 'warm,' and the air temperature there was probably 40C+, I can't imagine how hot that beer in a metal can would be.

Just heard my new favorite quote by Clarkson (about a bright pink Nissan Micra Convertible): "It looks like a scrotum"

I'd like to see how the Escalade got stuck there.
