The beauty of a high spinning motor is Gearing. Even though those motors dont make power that high, Spoon can now throw thier High final drives in. Im sure they also altered the 3-5 gears and as we all know gearing multiplys torque. This entails the added acceleration and ALWAYS being in the meat of the power band.

4door JDM ITR  :bigpimp:

Unfair race! The S2000 had stock rubber that is notorious for not performing well in the rain (RE050) while the other cars had advan neova's! :drama:

i wasn't really paying attention, but it seems like the VTEC engagement was alot smoother with the spoon mod.
I really want to see a dyno graph. From the video it appears like between 9500-10000 range the power seems roll off.

but  x100000

On a properly tuned engine vtec should only be acoustically noticed. Having a vtec 'kick' you actually are sacrificing midrange power. People are just ricey and wanna feel the M4d tyTe V-attack y0.

That why it's a race motor. Not that uncommon in road racing ;)

Note: be kind to the machinist

high rpm engines :D

too bad to get a engine to rev so high properly for most cars needs massive ammounts of tuning to get the timing right. and also to get some featherweight but strong pistons, cranks, connecting rods etc. to get it all to work properly at high rpms.

apparently the car is using s2k pistons from an f20c, and keeps making torque at 9000 rpm

madness I tell you. BTW, the reason it was put against a ITR aswell, is that this is spoons answer for honda not having a new type r at all in japan right now supposedly.
