I'm downloading Borat right now through Shareaza. Its working good so far although it will take about 5 hrs total. And then another 2 hours or so to encode it with divxtodvd so I can burn a copy. I would be interested to know if there is any faster ways to do this?

^^ i would wait until it comes out on dvd. It would be better to download a much higher quality version if you're planning on burning onto dvds. And by then there'll be many MANY seeds so DL'ing will be much faster.

Here is the definition of bittorrent from searchsmb.com

"BitTorrent is a content distribution protocol that enables efficient software distribution and peer-to-peer sharing of very large files, such as entire movies and TV shows, by enabling users to serve as network redistribution points. Rather than having to send a download to each customer requesting it, the distributor or holder of content sends it to one customer who in turn sends it to other customers who together share the pieces of the download back and forth until everyone has the complete download. This makes it possible for the original server to serve many requests for large files without requiring immense amounts of bandwidth. According to reports, a user may expect to see a full-length movie arrive within a few hours"

Basically if u go to a torrent site you will find a bunch of files which are being shared on peer to peer sharing. The advantage of using torrents is it makes it easier to find the files u want to download. Also u get faster, more stable downloads I believe.

^^^^I agree its worth buying and I probaly would but I don't want to wait 2 more months to get it. They got some $$ from me seeing it in the theatre at least anyways.

The DivX player is free if I'm not mistaken. Videolan is a really good program too. Have been using it for quite some time now.
