So around 11:30pm last night my boyfriend and I were driving westbound on 16ave just before deerfoot when we saw police lights waaaay up ahead. Then as we were waiting at the light we saw 4 other police cars speeding from the onramp from deerfoot to westbound 16ave with there lights on. Then a ghost car drove past.. So we were like wtf.. we kept driving and there were cop cars everywhere!!! There was a couple parked at the esso by seven eleven and there was 3 parked in front of an asian restaraunt on the north side.. there was also cop cars staked out at various corners and driving erratically all over around 16 ave. I saw probably a minimum of 15 cars/vans/ghost cars.
I was just wondering if anyone else saw this or was around or part of whatever was going on? There was nothing in the news. I was thinking that maybe it was a non-injury drive by but I haven't seen anything... It's driving me nuts!!!! lol
