ok where to start...
a friend of mine has a 240 that had a deck and subs from a previous owner, everything to do with the system is HACK!!!
since he got the car he can have subs or speakers not both...
he only has single rca output. well last week it stoped working all toghter. we used a test light to see if the amps were getting power, which they are.
so this is how the wiring goes.
the power, ground, ignition, rca and remote are hooked up to the deck.
the rca runs to amp. and so does the remote.
speakers are all hooked up to an amp.
now were getting power to the amp. but we cant get any sound.
i need to know what i should be checking in order to fix this.
im a newb to amps and shit but im not an idiot so i can figure it out.
would rca's light up a test light?
also we have a new deck. its a pioneer deh-p3800mp
i am not to sure which wires are which... i was wondering if there is a site that shows wiring diagrams for specific decks or if most companys use similar colours for power ground etc. the new deck has 2 rca outputs so we might install it.
any ideas at all would help guys.
