I might be able to help you for free, I have a VAG COM and it will do OBD II but I am currently learning if and how I can use it on my dad's 540i. If it works, I can help you.

Absolutely but I am just in the process of learning if I can read OBD II right now....the VAG COM guys told me I can read it, but since the tool is not designed specifically for it, I won't have the support from them, but Im going to practice on my dads car and then if I can get it to work I'd be more than happy to see whats up with yours.

No need to pay me I benefit from learning too from various people's issues. I will try remember to PM you but check back with me around the weekend or something via PM to make sure I don't forget your names. No guarantees if it will work, as it is capable of reading OBD II but is specifically designed for audi/vw/seat.
