hey guys,
I just bought some Chocolate Quick Mass protein powder. I made a shake wit banannas and milk and it was alright. However, id like to get some variety and something that doesn't mean im pluggin my nose to get it down. Im curious on what other people are putting into their shakes.

Cottage Cheese, Peanut Butter, 2 Eggs, then your mix. hahaha

It is disgusting, but sure does work!!

smooth peanut butter with chocolate is pretty good, just make sure ya dont add too much, its a pretty powerful flavor. Also, i dont know if ya care but its gonna add a fair bit of fat too

Lol. My protein shake consists of 2-3 Scoops of Whey(46-69G protein), 2scoops Raw steel cut oats(1/2cup), 1 Medium/Large banana, 1 cup Skim milk.

Protein is flavorless/Unsweetened protein from True protein canada. I love when i get milk or a banana in my shake. Its a treat. usually Plain Whey and water with Olive oil.:drool:

what ever you do dont mix chocolete protien and chocolete milk... :barf:

:werd: especially for a post workout protein shake. that's about all you need. you could add some dextrose, maltodextrin, etc. too

Dextrose/maltodextrin basically are fast carbs. use some honey or even sugar would work. But get those Fast carbs in after a workout. Insulin sensitivity FTW ;)

for flavor, you can throw in pretty much any fruit, or some yogurt.

Fuck chocolate man, you need strawberry.

My recipe -

Protein
1/3 blender full of yogurt
1 or 2 bananas, depending on size
a bit of orange or other fruit juice
1 cup of mixed berries, or raspberrys

It's pretty thick, and it gets expensive if you eat it every day, but it's fuckin good.

1 banana
1 spoonfull natural peanut butter, no the shit that everyone buys with icing sugar in it
1 cup of oats
1 cup of milk

Next time go with vanilla you can mix it with a lot more ... fruits, PB, PB and low sugar jam, low fat oreo wafers, graham crackers, a bit of chocolate powder, a touch of fruit juice etc.

bmeier's shake looks pretty good so ill give that a whirl.
To the people saying get vanilla or strawberrry i bought a 10lb bucket/tub so i guess im stuck wit chocolate for awhile.

The label recommends 4 scoops for 16oz of water, so im wondering do you guys follow that?

what ever you do dont mix chocolete protien and chocolete milk...

:werd: I tried that once, it was a chocolate overload... and way to thick

Just get a chocolate whey isolate protein " i prefer isolflex protein, throw 2 scoops in and a scoop of glutamine, than add water.

shake it up and chug it down.. its great to throw the mix in before the gym, than when your done your workout it is in the bag and ready to go when u need it most

4 scoops is a ton man, that's gonna be thick. FOr the most part I mix with milk for added protien and go with appoximately 1 scoop/cup of milk.

depends on how big the scoops are too... and he's taking Chocolate Quick Mass protein powder, weight gainer, not just regular whey isolate or blend

ya man, i do the 4 scoops to 16 0z, its perty thick, but ntuhing thicker than any other protein shake. word of advice, i have quickmass, and if you put four scoops in, DO NOT mix with 2 cups of milk or so, it so THICK, man its like fear factor style gross. It was the worst ive ever had. two words, Terrible.

Dump the quick mass and go with muscle milk, you wil not go back to anything after that.
