This might be a wierd thread , but I just got an email from a friend saying that one of my old Jr High/ Elementary friend was burned to death by someone , and it hit me , that ive lost over 25 FRIENDs in my life and I am not even that old. Ive had friends killed in Car Crashes (One this NYE) , friends die of strange sickness' , suicides , murdered and the list goes on.... Is God trying to get at me ? Im actually getting disturbed by this... Anyone else out there?

Sure I took some fucked up paths in my life , but wow this is getting out of hand.

I'm only 22 and I know over a dozen people approximately my age who have died in one way or another. It's a dangerous world out there...be safe, have fun and live life to the fullest because you never know when it could end.

I hear you J, and I feel your pain, but mine has all been family.

My sister's baby died 15 days after birth
my father passed away 8 days later
my grandparents died on the way back to Ontario after the funeral near winnipeg in a auto wrek
My wife's cousin was stabbed on NYE, but will survive
and last but not least my dog charlie passed away in my arms on the 29th of Dec.

pretty shitty 2006 if you ask me.

Wow... I feel lucky. I don't know anyone personally who have died besides grandparents, and I was too young at the time. But then again, I'm only 19

Sorry to heat that. It makes you think how seemingly insignificant decisions can lead to major consequences. It's a tough world out there. People need to be more aware of their actions and what's aroud them.

When I graduated from high school there were a rash of deaths and people going to jail. That's over 25 years ago so I really don't think its a new phenomenon. I remember one girl I went to school with had her brother and both parents die in separate incidences within one week of each other. The brother was being a typical high school idiot and rolled his car. He was decapitated.

Thankfully all my close friends are still around. I often wonder why because of the stupid shit we used to do.

That's one of the saddest things I've heard. My condolences. Hopefully 2007 is much better for you man.

Other than an older co-worker who passed away shortly into retirement last year, I'm fortunate to have yet to lose anyone really close to me.

Not quite sure how I would handle things.

Wow and I thought I've had some bad things happen to me in life...the worst time for me was when my dad passed away when I was 10 and then my mom had gotten cancer 2 years later. But she survived and is doing fine now.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through and I sincerely hope that you feel better...

Dude...I knwo your pain...well Icant say that cause for everyone it gets treated and handled differently. But I do know what you are going thru mentally when trying to wrap your head around it.

I too have lost many people in my life...I am almost 28...but have lost a huge number of people and still have people very close to death around...it's just a part of the cycle is how I deal with it. And as mentioned above...it's about how you live YOUR life that makes the difference. If they lost thier lives...then YOU should live your life the best you can to cherish those moments that are so fleeting.

I'm 28, I've had no friends die, and no close relatives die. In fact I've only attended 1 funeral in my entire life, and he was only an aquaintance.

Im guessing none of you guys were actaully told that this would very likely happen. In juinior high I remember when CPS came and was ranting and raving about drinking and driving and drugs and etc. I also remember the one thing that stuck out was they said at least 25 out of I believe it was a 120-150 kids would die by the age of 25. I actaully looked into it and their is alot of surveys and shit out there that prove it.

You would never think it was true until truely you lived it and experienced it.....

Just don't let it get the best of you.

I have never met you all i know about is you that you drive a supra, a good guy on beyond... and a guy who wrote JAYMEZ_STI ON MY CAR!!!!

All jokes aside, I am only 18 and i have had over a dozen friends of mine pass away. It hurts really bad, I know.. but take the memories you had with them and hold on to them forever. I don't think its god's way of getting to you in anyway. He has blessed you with a home, cars and various luxurious things other's around the world can't have.

To sum it up J, It sucks but try to keep going homie.

had 8 people I know kill themselves just in one year at my high school. We had a suicide epidemic for some reason and we had for 3 years straight. 4 one year. 8 the next (with 2 other non suicide deaths) and 5 the next only my first year in high school wasn't like that. loosing friends suck
