Last night, my furnace fan motor went out and I need to find another one. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get one and whether any updraft fan will work with any updraft furnace.

My gf's furnace recently stopped working (I forget the reason), but she ended up calling around and this place had what they needed for a good price. Give them a call.

Most Furnace Blower motors are the same size.

Usually 1/3 or 1/4 Hp.

You will need the frame size to get a replacement.

The existing motor will have a part number you could give to get a replacement.

Its a standard 120 VAC 1750 RPM motor most of the time.

Can Tire has em, Princess Auto, or any Motor place in calgary should have a replacement.

Thanks, where would I find the frame size? Does any motor attack to any fan?

Should all be on the motor nameplate.

Look for something like 42,28,56 etc...

There will be a number of separate sections on the nameplate. The frame size should be clearly marked.

Just jot down everything on the nameplate and take it with you.

Or take the motor if you are electrically inclined.
