Just watched a program on the Food Network that was judging Vodka's and below were the top two picks. Greygoose came in 4th. According to all the judges, Wyborowa and Stoli were the two most smoothest tasting vodkas, Wyborowa being #1. Of the flavored Vodkas, stoli's offered the best tasting Vodka's with nicest most pure tastes without being over powering. Stoli was the Worlds best in 2005.

#1 Wyborowa - Poland Vodka

#2 Stolichnaya - Russian Vodka.

Not sure of the prices, but on the show they said both these brands were half the cost of Greygoose or Belvedere. In fact they said don't buy a bottle of Vodka for the price, just because its the priciest doesn't mean its the best.

I'm gonna buy a bottle of each and give them a try.

20-25$ per 26oz pretty much anywhere in Calgary for Stolichnaya.
Not sure of the other.

Edit- Going to the liquor store in a few. Will be back with better pricing.

Yea, if I would have read this thread before I went to buy liquor today I would have tried one.

20-25$ is decent.

My 3 faves are Greygoose, Bellevedere and Stoli.

Greygoose I found to be the absolute best straight up on ice and a twist. Bellevedere I found to be the smoothest in mixed drinks such as caesars and Vodka Redbull style drinks (try it with Full throttle ;) ) and Stoli makes the best Vanilla (I have a bottle of Greygoose vanilla right beside me here and it's more "Natural Tasting" vanilla whereas the Stoli is a slight bit sweeter.

I havent tried the other ones mentioned above however I'm sure they're great.

Smirnoff is absolut trash, as is absolut. Polar ice is slightly better than those I just mentioned. Russian Prince is fucking garbage hahahahahha.

Greygoose runs 35-42 depending on where purchased, as is Bellevedere.

Stoli runs in the 22-27 dollar range.

Greygoose is highly over rated and over priced. I mean jesus, its French, French vodka?:nut:

Stoli Gold is good... that's probably my favorite.

I read about SKYY 90, it's a 90 proof Vodka from SKYY, it's supposed
to be amazing, I read about it on some spirits website.

Grey Goose FTL.

I love Belvedere if I had to choose.

If you really like vodka try out one that's call "3"
It's a Soy Vodka, sooooooooooo smooth.
It's unbelievable.

Well I picked up a bottle of the Wyborowa, but they only had the Single Estate stuff, couldn't find the bottle pictured above.

$40.00 for the bottle, tastes OK, but not worth $40 IMO. I'll try the Stoli's next time.

The Stoli was only $26.

How creepy,

I just noticed that the reflection of the light makes it look like a face/skull on the bottle.

I just started drinking Bellevedere, it kicks ass! Buy it at super store for like $36.

As for flavoured vodka, I think it's stoli hands down, great for the price too!

As mentioned the 3 vodka is really good. It's super smooth soy vodka. I haven't seen it for sale that much, but we have it at work and it's not bad at all! I think it's about $30

I don't usually drink vodka but if I do it's Belvedere or Kettle One.

I really like Kettle One.

If you like to try a good Polish Vodka then try Chopin, Very good around the same price as Belvedere vodka, with either you can not go wrong, but the only way to drink it is strait. For something that you are going to mix with like a ceaser or something that kill the flavor I would not spend that kinda of money for that IMO.
I would rather go with Finlandia of Silent Sam good for mixing and still has a good taste IMO.

Heres the good stuff, not too common in Calgary, I have only seen it in a handful stores, but it could just be the ones I go to...

GreyGoose is good for posers who like to tell everyone around them that they are drinking GreyGoose.

GreyGoose started in the US and they built a distillery in France so that they could tell people it is imported and then sell it for more money. The product is all show and isnt that good IMO.

I like belvedere, I rarely drink vodka though, I'm a Gin guy.....Ketel One is awesome (and dutch, as am I......... ) , Absolut is middle of the road, Polar Ice is craptacular, Haven't had Smirnoff in ages, but it was the first vodka I ever drank straight...not pleasant...

Belvie and Chopin are my favorites but I also suggest Pearl vodka which is 4 times distilled in High River. They also make a great pomegranit flavour. Another few highend vodkas are Svenska, Square One and Jay Zs Armadale. Finally the best vodka in the world is Diaka, it's polish and it's filtered through hundreds of diamonds which are about a carat in size.

What are you talking about?! Diamonds are excellent filters!

They easily separate fools from their money.

That Vodka is totally overhyped garbage.
