I have this nice set image of my brother going off a jump snowboarding. Now does anyone know a good method of merging them. I know that Graham does it with his snowmobilling pictures. Is there any good tuitorials that will help me merging them with even levels and colouration.

I have tried using autopano pro but it offsets the pictures and I cannot alter which layers are on top and below.

If you guys have a better suggestion of free software. ;) Or if you know of any tuitorials please point me in the right direction.

Well, I can't make any suggestion on the software side, but I can make some on the hardware side. In this sequence, it may have helped to use the AE Lock button (in P/A/S) or Manual exposure mode to keep the exposures consistent - that way you don't have the light/dark variance between frames.

do you have the originals?

EDIT: well this is as good as it gets without the originals and also for the future before you put all of the pics into one adjust the brightness so they are all the same then healing brush works great to get rid of the lines in between the pics but make sure that you select off the area that you want to make look the same if there is a big difference in color (like from sky to trees)

You have a good point there. Maybe its time to change the AE/AF button to just AE Lock. I don't use it all that often but maybe its time to start. Thank for that tip.

ercchry, just uploaded the originals. Thanks for doing that one for me. It looks awesome for what I gave you to work with. Any specific tips for adjusting the exposure to look the same when you have different pictures?

shit kinda forgot about this thread but im back

alright so layers are your friend use them

1.toss all pics into one pic (open new and make sure its big enough for all of them)
2. line up a key part of each pic so it flows (make em transparent and line them up till the blur goes away)
3. if the boarder ends up being completly covered copy and paste just the boarder above that frame and delete the rest of that pic (helps later so ther is less lining up to do)
4. cut off extra unused parts of pics (mostly the parts that cover the boarder from the next pic in line)
5. pick one pic for the brightness level you want then the next one in line adjust the brightness as close as posible (focus on the sky, when the line disapears between the 2 your good)

to find the brightness adjust:
image > adjustments > brightness and contrast

6. do a once over and make sure everything looks right (brightness and everything lined up-this doesnt need to be perfect yet but close)
7. merge visable
8. do touch ups with the stamp tool and the healing brush
9. crop

then it should look like this and you can treat it like any other pic

Awesome, thanks for the help. I think that as soon as next week is done I might play with that a bit. I hate this program I'm in, midterms already.:banghead:

lol, I wish, I did the Engineering bridge program at Camosun College in Victoria, its week 3 of a 12 week quarter. So midterms on weeks 4 and 8 finals on week 12. Ouch. :whipped:

I'm sure it was a very gloomy day, but the color balance is off too. I adjusted the color a little and merged the images.

A little motion shadow behind the boarder for fun.

Just low-res files, I have the highres too just didn't post as they are larger.
