Just read this on Citybeat.

The Calgary Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance
in locating a stolen classic car.

Sometime between 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 and
7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, an unknown number
of culprits stole a red 1967 Chevrolet Camaro two door with a
black vinyl roof. The car was parked in a secured, detached,
residential garage in the 100 Block of Templewood Mews N.E.

At the time of the theft, the vehicle did not have a battery
in it and none of the batteries in the garage were stolen.
It is believed that the car was either towed out or a battery
was brought in from an outside location.

The vehicle is classified as a “classic” car and is valued at
$30,000.00

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to
contact Cst. Saad, District 5 Team 2, at 280-6677 or Crime
Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

A photo of the car will follow in a separate email.

RELEASED BY PA/MRU FOR CST M. SAAD, DISTRICT 5, TEAM 2.

I wonder what hookups the owner has to get it listed on Citybeat, which will probably be picked up by local media.

I'd imagine getting the car past the border on the way back to the shop, would be a little difficult. Just imagine them trying to bring it back at the end. "Anything to declare?" "uhh..."
