New Music station in calgary...

We need a Rap/ hip hop/ R&b station, I think that would make some good money, I'm surprised nothing has come out yet, 'though I've heard rumors, until then, I'm stickin with cd's, all these dj's suck, not to mention most of the music.

I would like to see what it's going to be like, if it's anything like what the U.S. Hip Hop stations play than it might turn out to be a good station. I'm starting to get tired of listening to The Peak.

i think it's just because they're still reformatting. remember like 6 years ago when rock107 changed to power? they played the same 60min loop for day or two.

i liked rock 97. i love classic rock. i like rap and r&b too though...i think calgary needs a NEW station, not just a bunch of format changes. it always happens around here now...

Havent heard it yet, but Im sure they will be behind with their music like every radio station. By the time tracks hit the radio ive already overplayed them in my car stereo. If they can find fresh music and not overplay it sweet. Otherwise who cares. my .02

i think this is the best thing to happen to calgary radio since i moved here like 8 years ago... after power switched to peak i completely stopped listening to the radio and power wasnt even that great

I only listen to CJay if I ever do listen to the radio, but I know ALOT of people like Rab/R&B/HipHop, so I know that this station will do well...

that would be nice ... but when i listen to that i do it for the beat, and on the radio i don't think it does it justice :dunno: but that would be nice ... it's kinda hard to learn the scene and new releases when there's really no info about it. (from what i can finda anyway)

No commercials yet b/c they are probably still looking for companies that are willing to advertise to the station..

there needs to be astaiton that plays the harder stuff, linkin park, system of down, paparoach, some staind..just rockign tunes all day long..that would kick ass

Even though the station hasnt fully gone into regualar programing..they are still playin some fresh new hiphop/r&b as well as the good ol skool stuff..the already have to new eminem single..which rocks BTW!:thumbsup:
