Hi guys.

My father in law is looking for a reliable car to go to and from work. He would like to have a honda civic 4dr preferably with an automatic tranny. He's almost 60 so I'm quite sure he doesn't want to fix the car so no junkers please.

I guess the criteria that he's asking for is:

1. No burning oil
2. No major leaks
3. No overheating
4. Decent body
5. Decent interior
6. RELIABILITY is a must

If the car needs a timing belt or something simple then that won't be a problem for him to pay honda to fix but I would honestly not want him to have to spend any more than he has to.

Come on guys I know there's a honda 4dr out there or even a 3 door hatchie for cheap. 88-91 is what I'm thinking of.

I would give him my 4 dr honda but then what would I drive to work?

Anyone want to help an old guy find a good car?

Thanks!

he's looking at spending about 2g's.

he's a labourer so he doesn't make a whole heck of lot and some drunk idiot neighbor hit his car and totalled it off so now he has to rely on ppl to drive him to and from high river.

Very unfortunate but he's kinda screwed without a reliable car.

mileage I think is going to be quite high for that price that he can afford to pay but quite frankly I don't think he'll care as long as its reliable....

Thanks
