The car in Canada from a dealer lists at 49000 on top of that you have to add 1500 for freight and pdi and on top of that you have to add GST works out to $53550 so it works out to a pretty good savings
but if you dont belive me here is the price off the web

Purchasing Details:

MSRP $48,995.00
PDI & Freight $1,495.00
Air Tax $100.00
Accessories $0.00
Purchase Price $50,590.00
PST $0.00
GST/FST Taxes $3,035.40
Total $53,625.40
Deposit - $0.00

Balance to Finance $53,625.40

What are the differences in options between this US model and a Canadian model? Do either models come with heated seats?

Unless things have changed, the US version does not get the heated seats or side mirrors. I believe the 07 US STI now has a pass through rear seat like the Canadian version.

From a performance at the drag strip standpoint, the 07 STI now has the revised gearing with a taller 4th such that you should not have to shift into 5th at the end of the 1/4 mile run. That is, until your mods make the car trap above 114 mph.

The only difference is what Xrayvsn had said(which I thank).
The Canadian car comes with the heated seats and mirrors and that is the only difference for the models I belive. The US STi for 07 does have the ski pass through just like the Canadian version, other than that the cars are identical (except for the miles/hour and Fahrenheit instead of Km's/hour and Celsius for the outside temp.)

The car is electronicly limited at 160 mph or 250 km/h
but not to sure if all years have this or not but I know the 07 does

One last thing! In Canada you do get a credit of $2500 for your servicing at the dealers.
