K i know that they are different engine size. ones a 4 banger and the others a 6. But a co worker has a 318i parts car and i was wondering if most of the other parts are goin to be the same. Like the rear drive train and axles and what not. If anybody knows please let me know what else is different.

i think the diffs are different, in strength and gearing, the transmissions are different

all the interior bits and stuff are more or less the same

yea no i dont need the engine or tranny.. im talkin about like exterior panels... and like axles suspenion and rear drive train. cause these beemers are known to have the differential dropping.

The 318i has a lower geared diff, since it needs more help off the line. I wouldn't put this in a 325i... at highway speeds, your RPMs will be too high. Everything, except the drive train and ECU, is interchangeable.
