View Full Version : swords
Is there any place in town that teaches sword fighting?
I'm not so much interested in kendo or iaido as I am in broadsword/middle ages type fighting.
similarly, is there anyone in town that makes chain maille?

Thanks for the info. I'm sure these guys would know what's going on in town.

The Society for Creative Anachronism should be able to help you out as well. Should be in the phone book under "Richard Lionheart," if I'm not mistaken.
The SCA is basically a bunch of people who get together in large numbers and beat each other about with swords, so if anyone knows that sort of thing, it'd be them.

From What I recall the richard lionheart number has been out of service for a couple of years
If you are interested in SCA fighting go to www.montengarde.org it will have contact information for the Calgary branch
there are other groups that do sword fighting in Calgary I just can't remember them off hand
pm me and I'll send your information to a couple of friends who might be able to help you out

A word that describes a live action role player or someone who enjoys acting out fantasy adventures.
