- Public transit costs
- Textbooks, 20 p/t 65 f/t
- Apprentice tools (any trade!!!) Must be required tools, but isn't only limited to mechanics now. Required tools must have been acquired after May 01/06

These were the major ones that stood out to me.

Canada Employment Credit, or something, it's in Schedule 11. Up to $250 credit.

Actually, the best tip I would give anyone is to buy a decent tax package. It's worth the $40.

Depending on how complicated your return is buy a tax program and do it yourself.

Anyone claimed taxes as a private contractor, as in you got paid for jobs in cash and didn't pay taxes.

Does H&R block charge a lot if you just tell them how much you made and ask them to figure out what you owe?

They should not charge you anything extra. I believe (don't quote me on it) what you made in a cash deal will fall under "other income" and be entered into line 130. This is a simple entry on the tax program and it's net effect will be calculated by the program. Easy. I would also say you're more honest than a lot of people.

Just be glad you don't live in the U.S. :D

^^^Haha that tax form is hilarious, is that for real?

Thats what I was hoping to hear about claiming cash jobs. As for claiming the cash jobs, I know it's rare but I don't want to get audited and get screwed

If you printed out your total cost sheet along with your receipt, your tuition is a factor in the total sum, don't get confused. You pay 65 bucks for your U-Pass in addition to your tuition, same with health benefits, gym privileges etc. These are not included in your tuition! Hope that helps.
