Hey guys, I needed a couple new widescreen LCDs for my PC and I decided to pick up a pair of Viewsonic 20.1" that were on a major sale at Best Buy. During the sale period, I grabbed the last two monitors I could find and I intended to keep them for myself.
But then a Dell sale rolled around and I bought two of those since they were bigger at 22" (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=CADHS1&sku=320-5205). My plan was to keep the monitors that I preferred and to return the other ones.
I've got four monitors in front of me (I feel like the operator in a Matrix movie) and I'm going to keep the Dells and sell/return the Viewsonics.
That's not to say the Viewsonics are inferior -- they actually feature better image quality since they have superior 8-bit P-MVA panels that are becoming rare these days. The Dell only has 6-bit TN panels, which are kind of budget.
So why am I keeping the lesser quality of the two panels? Only because they are bigger and my eyes suck. After comparing the two monitors, the Viewsonics are hands down better quality... just too small for me.
So, I'm putting up my pair of Viewsonic VX2025WM for sale. I bought them during the $299 sale at Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10072654&catid=22559&logon=&langid=EN) (they are currently selling for $399) and I could just as easily return them for a full refund. But before I do that, I'm looking to try to pass the deal onto a fellow Beyonder who may be looking for these monitors.
I'm going to sell these off at cost, so with taxes and environment fees, the pair will go for $660. I'd prefer to sell them together, but obviously a single one would sell for $330. (If no one is interested in these, they'll be heading back to Best Buy nearing the end of the 14-day return period.)
Both monitors have been tested to have NO dead pixels. Usage time for each is under 1 hour. Please PM if interested.
