Why so cheap?
This is a fixer upper.
Car needs a top end rebuild (burnt exhaust valves) and a new distributor.
The two options are:
1) I take it in myself and get the head redone and up the price to 13K
2) You can get the work done and perhaps upgrade the internals (connecting rods, high compression pistons etc). There is no oil consumption issues so the bottom does not have to be rebuilt.
Estimate on a top end rebuild is 1500-2000$ I checked with Silverstone in Edmonton (the guy does nothing but turbo/supercharged imports). I priced the car to 10k in case a bottom end rebuild is required (top and bottom rebuild costing 3000$ at Silverstone).
The car runs but stutters at 1000 RPM and the OBD code indicates the distributor is on the blink (replacement is 300.00)
I already bought a replacement so the prelude is sitting in storage.
