Make me an offer, anything over $8K takes it!

I have found my dream car, an older bmw that I have to buy, so I need to sell my Alltrac.

1990 Celica Alltrac ST185
Turbo
AWD
5 speed
original paint, white
original interior
270,000 km

upgraded:

new bully clutch this year
new TWM short shifter this year
new Whiteline springs and KYB shocks yet to be installed

Car runs like a top and is great on pavement and snow. The Turbo works great. Seems to be a small oil leak, usual for this age I guess. I'll get some pics up shortly.

Asking $9900

I also have a ski rack for it and the timing belt was replaced recently.Make me an offer, anything over $8K takes it away!SOLD

It is but these are rare cars, especially to find one this solid that hasn't been raced. In any case, make me an offer I guess, worst case is I say no.

Forgot to mention, it also has a brand new windshield and HKS wheel spacers that haven't been installed yet. Just replaced the gear oil with Redline. Brakes were done in the spring too. Has the factory 10 stereo (awesome) with a nice cd/mp3 deck. Is wired for a sub but I never installed one since I thought it was good enough without.

Also forgot that I just put new plugs (NGK Titanium) and NGK silcone plug wires. I also replaced the clutch slave cylinder pushrod with an extended one from Speed-Source to improve clutch perfomance.

I think it is just my lousy photography skills, it looks the same to me up close. I didn't mention that I also have new fog lights coming for the car as well as the existing ones have cracks.

Just got back from a ski trip to Fernie. This car was amazing in that snow and freezing rain!

skierik

I haven't done one, didn't really see the need as it runs fine. If someone wants to, they are certainly welcome.

This is a LHD, Canadian/Alberta car. Has spent it's whole life in Alberta and BC (no eastern salt).

My new 88 BMW 325ix is on a truck to Calgary. I should have it on the road in a couple of weeks so now the ALLTRAC must go.

I'll most likely be out at Nakiska skiing on Sunday with the kids. I can be at home in the morning (say until 11:00am). FYI, I live out near Bragg Creek, let me know if this will work out for you.

When was the last time this thing got saftied?

I know it has a lot of clicks, but its not the engine I worry about, I know the S-series blocks from Toyota are bullet proof. But just wondering about the other things like control arms, ball joints, that kind of happy stuff.

How about the rack & pinion? Was that replaced?

Thank you kindly :D

I got this car thoroughly checked out when I bought it in December of 2005. Since then I did all those things I've listed and the last owner did the timing belt in the spring of 2005 so it is a very dependable car.

The only problem with it is a small oil leak in the turbo or head gasket but it never seems to use any oil, just has a bit of a smell when driven hard.

I live out near Bragg Creek so let me know if this is convenient at all so we could arrange a time for you to actually see the car.

Cheers

Sorry, I should actually answer your questions:

The rack and pinion seems tight to me, it has not been touched since I've had the car but it pulls dead straight and it feels good. The springs are shot but I have the new Whiteline springs in a box ready to go on with the new front shocks too.

I had the front bearing replaced in the work that was done as well. A nice upgrade would be to replace all the bushings with poly but I was using this as a daily driver so I didn't want it to feel to hard.

that front bumper is a completely diffrent shade of white.

skierik

I'm pretty sure it is original, perhaps the sun has beat on it over 17 years but when I ran the carfax on this car before I bought it there was no record of any accidents. When I look at the car in my driveway I don't see a difference other than how plastic looks different than steel (never has the same sheen). The fog lights are both cracked but I have new ones in a box for the new owner.
