Most drop ins are not hitting.. then slapshots can go either way.

I would be interested if someone could set one up.. that is if they need a goalie. I know last year someone organized a Beyond hockey game...

I played for a few months at National Sports Development. It would be an awesome place for us to set this up (ball hockey that is) if there is enough interest.

cardel place has drop in ice hockey.
monday to fridays at 11:45-1:15.
skill level is pretty good, only a couple of times have there been one or 2 weak skaters on the ice. A couple of times there haven't been 2 goalies though.

if daytime isn't an option, they do it on monday nights also. i think 10 or 10:30 until 11:30. That fills up fast so show up early, max 24 skaters.

Yeah cardel isn't too bad I've been there a couple times, Village Square LC has drop in 12:00 - 1:30pm for $5, Skill level varies there quite alot though and some people dont even wear any equipment so yeah... Goalies are hit and miss, But not bad if you just want to get a skate in and get the rust off.

Were do most of you live, lets just all set up a time and try to rent a place out....usually ends up being $10 a head goalies free

Ive played at Bowness arena before, i think its pretty cheap to rent there. I think wed have to go no hitting as well since im not sure how the liability would go if something happened. By the way im 19, havent played other than pond hockey since i was 16 tho, so ill have a bit of rust.

Drop in shinney at southland leisure center is wicked starts at noon till onethirty daily but if you arent there at eleven you wont get a spot. Played there a couple weeks ago Lanny Mcdonald and Jamie Mcowen were out there as well as some old nhl chicago player. Best hockey in town. Also weside rec centre has free hockey at two daily and Fishcreek has hockey at three on thursdays.

It's right by my house and would like to play a few more times a week.

Either that or the Northeast Sportsplex.

I'd love to play too if you guys need a goalie. Man, those times at those arenas are bad for most people. Maybe I'll check them out on a day off or something.

There used to be a time set up by some guys from Visions at the Family Leisure Centre on Sunday nights. I haven't gone in a year though, so I don't know if they still do it

Yeah, due to so many ppl not paying, they stopped doin it. This season we made a team and joined a league.

Hey Moonracer, pm me some details about locations/times. we're always lookin to get some ice in. We can totally use the skate since playoffs are coming up soon

Only problem is these days it's hard to find ice time. I might be able to get one of those days I posted for a beyond shinny night but I doubt many will sign up for it. Being that it's so late on a work night and all.

Hey Sandino, is there any way we can try to get a little earlier time than what we normally get? Anything earlier than 11pm would be awsome!

That would be awesome but not likely, I always see the same guys playing before us every week. You could go and sweet talk them and maybe they'll let you play...lol
Summer man, then we can get some decent times.

I'm in if this ever gets off the ground. i'm in the NW right beside cardel.

Crowchild Twins Area is pretty good, i play there every sat night but its all guys that know eachother, randoms arn't really welcome unless you fluke out and come on a day its short benches.

Lets get up a beyond hockey night, once a week ... so much fun.
