it's a matter of license's the city decides to hand-out really, and it has stayed relatively the same while calgary's population has greatly increased compared to the taxi ratio over the past year or two...

if you take a taxi early in the evening (5-6ish), ask if he's working later if u need one home, and see it he has a cell which u can call him directly and get a ride...sweet deal usually give him a nice "tip" if u don't wanna be stuck in the cold :clap: :clap:
