I hate these threads but im going to make one anyway lol

I am currently selling my 02 GTI and my 02 sir becuase i am buying a house and need to get rid of my car loan. I will have around 10 grand to spend. Looking for something fun to drive and reliable. Something i can still take pride in. (not a rust bucket).

Looking for japanese or german cars

(no jdm rhd cars)

Any ideas? thanks guys

Get a prelude man. Can get a 98 for that if you shop around. That or a Jetta/GTI. Mid 90's 3 series.. Little older though.

BUT it it were up to me Ek with a swap. :) good luck

i wouldn't go with an older beemer...body of mine works there and they are greeat cars until they break...and then the cost of them to get them fixed is insane...get something that is cheap to fix and avoid the "higher" names. get a Honda or a Toyota. you will egt the best bang for your buck and they have extremely good reputations and they are cheap and easy to fix.

another VW would be good to...maybe a TDI? im not sure how much they go for though.

get like a accord coupe or something...i believe they are around that price now. they are fun to drive and won't run for gas money...which is nice when you buy a house.

i think you will just be shopping for a new car if you get a beemer. once they start getting old they start get problems like any other car...difference is that the beemer cost more to fix...by miles.

Not really. Watch www.clubveedub.com and www.airriders.ca. There is a nice one in Edmonton for sale right now. And the guys on those sites are enthusiasts, keep their cars in good shape

Maybe try something RWD or AWD next? It's a whole lot different than FWD.

SUPRA SUPRA SUPRA! =D =D =D

Really, though, if you're shooting Honda, you're basically left with a 'lude or a teggy. RWD? Supras, old Celicas (usually don't fit under the "not a rustbucket" category) old Corollas (If you're willing to pay the fast & furious tax on an ae86, most people have kept theirs pretty nice)

Or German. E30 3 series are pretty damn nice. I kinda want one. Or an E28 5!
