Checked out this new place at Lunch today. It's in the old Arbys Building in front of Shanks South. It’s supposed to be an upscale burger place, where you can get a $10 Hamburger (fries ordered separately) and a bottle of Dom or $50 bottle of wine on the side if you'd like. (Same owners as the Metropolitan Grills)

- Food rating 3/5 An ok burger, 6 oz Angus. Comes with special sauce (thousand island) everything is a la carte so you can get a side of fries for $2 up to Onion rings for $6

- Ambience 5/5 Very nice reno, lots of TVs, classy joint,

- Service 3.5/5 Good service, but is doing the "new place" act, where everything from the fries to the chicken wings require a long explanation as to why they're better(and more expensive) than other places.

Value 2/5 $27 for 2 burgers, one order of fries and 2 pops. Burgers were ok, but not huge: I would've been happier going to the Burger Inn next door, saving $10 and getting a nice Buffalo Burger and a shake....

Good review!

So overall, would you give them a :thumbsdow ?
Is it worth the extra dough for the ambiance?

The whole meal was just ok, figuring everything in. Which, for 2 burgers for $27, is not a good deal, even though the place was nice. I was hoping for a new Fuddruckers or something like that...no suck luck

Dang, I was just past there last Friday and it looked abandoned. It should be interesting to see how they fare against the Burger Inn, White Spot, Moxies, Rotten Ronnies, etc. on Macleod.

I don't think I can justify that much for a burger. Sounds like the same price as Fat Burger and that place is shit too.

I'll stick to Burger Inn.

That's what I was thinking too.. Waay too much money for a burger, especially if it's not that good. I had no idea what was going in there though, so kinda interesting to hear.

Burger Inn FTW

I didn't like Fat Burger at all. I didn't like the burger OR the fries, or for that matter the service.

Holy fuck, look at Nicole Ritchie in that photo! She's a porker, no wonder she stopped eating.
