So i remember reading a while back about these cars... and i have had this sudden urge lately to just sit at home for once and build up one of them.

So does anyone have one that is not started or very little work done?
Or does anyone know where they are still for sale?

Thanks

Yeah if you're interested in hobby-grade RC drifters, Yokomo's are the way to go. They're still quite popular as a hobby; you should give modelland a call. They certainly do sell them, but if they're around $400 US Ready-to-Run, prepare to pay a bit more than that locally. If you're more interested in cheaper and more kit-like drifters, try some Tamiya kits. I wouldn't know much about the cheaper Wal-Mart ones, but they probably just slide around instead of actually drifting.

Yeah, being hobby-grade, all parts are replaceable and upgradable.

Alright thanks

I dont wanna spend tons of $ just because this urge to build these cars will dissapear in a week or two.

Just something for under $100. and mods are easily available. like xmods. :D

That's insane. $400 CAD for just a kit. Total would probably be over $700 if you didn't already have chargers and stuff for it.

Oh yeah, haha. Well if you wanted to use Xmod or something, probably just mod your own tires so they slide around. I used to put like corn starch on the countertop and that made them do funky stuff, but it's not drifting though.

If you are going to only spend around 100 bucks then I think that the xmods would be the best way to go. Even if you went onto sites to try to get those Yohokoma ones used they are going to be more than 200 bucks, unless its damaged.

Crap. I had a bunch of stuff I sold in December. A shitload of XMods, Bits, and all I have now is a Mini-Z Monster, mint Sportmaxx, and a Spec 1 Epoch.

Sad thing is you could probably use them, while I sold them to small kids who would probably break them in 2 days.

You could always look at toys R us they have drift cars. They are bigger than the xmods ones, but they are a bit more expensive.
