they are retailing for $1499 and are on sale for $1299, $1000 is a very good proce for this tv. I can find a 32 lcd for 700 doesnt mean I would want to use it or that it would be equal to a 1500 lcd.

before christmas i bought it for $1499 + gst. it is now on sale for $1299 + gst. so you save yourself $376.94 because i watched 6 movies on it. and if you've done shopping for LCD's yourself you'll understand why you pay more for PICTURE QUALITY .

No, you can watch standard definition programming on it. If you want to take full advantage of what the TV can offer then you need HD programming.
