I've been trying to track down a pair of these, but have balked at the price. I figured now that I have finally figured out how to get them, I'd let the lot of you have a shot at getting some.

Here's the product. (http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaPortal/WebSite/Internet_usa/ProductsServices/Performance_Lighting/Conversion_Headlamps/BMW_3Series/BMW_3Series.jsp)

For those of you who don't want to click, they're a complete plug-and-play, chrome mirrored, replacement headlights with angel eyes for the E36 models. Comes complete with Hella halogens and all connectors. To put the price in perspective, Hella manufactured all the angel eye lighting for the 5-series cars, and these are a direct derivation of those. This is as factory-close as they come. As an added bonus, they are a completely legal conversion in Canada only.

They retail for $1300 for a pair, but NAPA has agreed to let me get them for $1000. The wait is 12 weeks from order. If anyone is genuinely interested, post here or PM me. There are pics on the Hella website if you follow the link.

Why not save about $700 and get the Umnitza Depos with angel eyes installed? The hella version looks really dumb in real life with their small halos.

Werd to that, and on top of that, they are upside down halos, small, all chromed out, really really disgusting.

Hella is a good name, but these are not! please dont!

The black housing ones (more rare) look nice....you can even buy a unit that you attach to your car, and you have auto levelling.

No worries :) Just figured I'd put it out there! Those Umnitza ones look to be more in my price area...but the Depos plus the Predator Chromium and Xenix bulbs are still $400 US plus all the tax, duty and shipping. Am I looking at the right ones?

Umnitza has some shitty customer service.
Perhaps when I dealt with them.
If you want the real deal, get some bosch angel eyes.
2m0a0x2 has them and they look damn nice!
You can get ZKW's but depending on where you get them, they will install a set of angel eyes w/ hid conversion.

Dont you mean Umshitza? I dont like matt either (owner/operator).

chris at understeer.com is very good customer service, there is a slight difference between a 2004 5000k and a 2006 5000k bulb, so I need to buy a 5000k to match mine (hopefully), or go for the newer 6000k that will match perfectly for my fogs - in either case, if the 5k doesnt not match, he will swap for free to 6k to match :)

I'd agree with Scat on this.

If you like understeer's product, definatly go with him. Everytime I have talked to Chris he has given me all the information and support I need and quite quick as well. A+ to Chris @ Understeer.

When I had my E36, I ordered these and they were pretty much the same as Umnitza (depos)
