Everyone says bernard, but I for whatever reason just prefer Purdy's Chocolate. That or Olivers, as there peanut brittle is amazing.

Actually my wife and mother in law make the best! Purdy's is running a close second though!

just a Q - is Bernards only retail outlet in kensington? I heard some places have started selling their stuff, but not sure where or if this is true.

I in the past years noticed a definate difference in their chocolates. I am not sure what it is, but they aren't as soft as they once were. We use to live in Mount Royal and go to the old 17th ave location at least once a week. We would buy a few of our favourites and wander.

I am not one for ever buying pre-boxed chocolates.

But if you love Lindt you should take a trip to Switzerland and take the factory tour. At the end they have tables and tables full of chocolate samples.. haha! Very good, there is a difference between US Lindt and the Swiss stuff.
