No one would sell their type s for that, but thats how much they should be worth. Not enough car for 30K.

Whatever the MSRP was minus about 20-30%.

he asked what is a "good price" to pay without getting ripped off.
I know most likely nobody is going to sell theirs for 25k but IMO 30k for 2006 RSX-S is a ripoff. I just don't think it's worth it and there are much better cars you can buy for the money.

There is a difference between you thinking it is ripoff versus it actually being one.

He did'nt ask what was better for 30k he wanted to know what would be good price. If you can find one for 25-27k your getting a steal of a deal my friend. good luck!

He wanted to know what was a good price for one and he stated that he thinks there's way better cars out there for 30k..same shiet. 30K for an 06 rsx-s is not a good price. I don't care how rare they are.

going rate will probably 27k... if you can get one less than 27k it's a good deal. and how the hell are they rare? I see atleast 6 or 7 every time i head out... it's pretty annoying actually :banghead:

we're talking about the 05-06 ones..not the 02-04 ones...the newer ones are more rare.

not really... I still see a few of 05-S' on a daily basis...but I guess no where near as many as the 02-04. Although, there arent too too many 05-06 white ones out there.

$30k is a good deal for those that dont live in the Beyond.ca parallel universe. Personally I’d take one over a WRX any day and I did. Just feels like a better car. Way nicer interior, better looks, better put together. Inside it feels like a much more expensive car. Amazing high revving NA engine and nice handling. Very reliable, good on gas, a car that you can have for 10 years with very little issues if you take care of it. All good reasons why $30k for one is a good deal. But that is my opinion and obviously not shared but most. But hey if you asked you must have already crossed shopped one with the competition and decided for yourself.

A lot of members on this site have a funny idea on what cars are worth. 20 year old cars selling for $20,000 while 1 year old brand new cars selling for under black book. Or when someone is selling a car its worth a premium and cars are just more expensive out west, but when they're buying a car they want to pay salvage title prices on a new car. 1/2 black book because they can buy a 1989 mustang, tubo it and it becomes just as good as that Lexus IS350 if not better because it has more HP. lol

You are selling it and more importantly it is not made anymore. WRX continues to sell well despite the shortcomings you described. IMO a car is worth whatever someone out there is willing to pay for it. It is really hard to sell such new cars though, even though the initial depriciation has already been paid for.

Unfortunatly, the other 99% of the population thinks your trying to sell a glorified honda civic for 30g when you can get a new one for less than that. You cant argue against what the market says, no matter how good or bad the car really is.

actually it's not me selling the car. Mine is an 05 for less money and not white like this guy wants. Regardless, even when i do sell it this spring, i'll still stick up for the Type S because i know it's a good car.
