Does anyone know the amount of a ticket when you're caught without a Banff park pass?

Let me guess, you're trying to calculate the difference between how much a regular gate entrance is, compared to how much a violation ticket costs factoring in the chances of getting such a ticket. All I can say is they've probably already done the calculations, such that a gate entrance fee will be much cheaper than the ticket itself. Otherwise, what's keeping Banff officials from bothering with handing out violation tickets in the first place?

A yearly pass is around 125. From what I heard (not for sure) a ticket is around 250 plus the possibility of your vehicle getting towed.
