FS: Rock and Republic Jeans Size 30

These are 100% authentic mens Rock and Republic jeans in Floyd "ox" wash. Size 30, Wasit 15.5", inseam 29". These are brand new and was bought from a retail store a few months ago. Material is 98% cotton and 2% lycra (spandex) and feels really soft. These are irregular due to a ripped hole about 1.5" x 2" on the front left pocket from to dry rotting. Took them in and got the hole patched up using the original inseam. Retail $230 (cdn). Asking price is $170 (cdn) shipped or best offer. Final sale and no returns. Thank you.

Authentic mens Rock and Republic jeans in Henley wash "mp" wash. Size 30, Wasit 15.5", and inseam 35" (unhemmed). These are brand new and was bought them from a friend in the US. Retail $280 (usd). Didn't notice there was a little scuff on the knees until I tried them on and it started ripping across the knee after bending down to look at a map. The rip is 3.5" wide. This can be patched up or repair professional without a trace. Asking price is $170 (cdn) shipped or best offer.

how come there are no tags if they are brand new?

They obviously are not brand new. There is no way "bending down to pick up a map" would cause the jean to not only tear, but tear in a straight line across the knee.

I have a few pairs of Rocks and they are very well made, they do not just tear like that.

Like I mentioned there was a little scuff on the knee and from that scuff came a big whole.

I have no other ways to prove these are real. The picture of the tags, embroidery, wash and microstitching is all there. What you see is what you get. Maybe Someone here who is an RR expert can provide you with some straight answers.

Those are auth... esp with the ms, that alone should tell u that it's auth. The size tag font threw me off at first, but i didn't realize that they changed it for the new season. Stitching and everything else look right right on. Rocks are well made, but they're usually thinner than a lot of the other premium denims, i.e. compared to diesel. My rocks have always worn out faster than my diesels, but then again, they're usually distressed more to give the look in the first place. On the rip though, they should have been marked IRR if you got them with a scuff on the knee then... my taylors in mp don't have any distressing that would give u a rip like that on the knees.

GQBalla, These jeans do not come with a "tag." the first few seasons of rocks came with no tags at all, 05's came with a Hologramed "Event Entry Pass" Carabiner and 06's had a leather "Rock & Republic" strip also attached with a Carabiner. No actual "tags" though. I've seen select pairs of 07s with the leather carabiner, most without any tagging and instead, the Skull embroidery on the back upper right.

5hift, There were a lot of quality control problems with the Womens rocks across the brand last season. They would actually tear completley across the leg while just being tried on. This happened a number of times at my store and i heard of it occuring at others as well. These problems were isolated to select lines of womens 06's. Those problems have since been corrected, but 5hift, it can happen. I have not known of it to happen to any of the mens (aside from the VERY first 2002/3 cuts)
Have these been washed and dried at all? The reason i ask is that would better explain this rip. I am doubtful that a scuff would all of a sudden rip across your knee on a brand new jean. However, it is much more likely that this scuff would weaken after a couple cycles of wash/dry and wears.

Anywho, take these to an experienced tailor and they will be able to repair them without a trace. My sister stepped through one of her pairs of Swarovski's with a high heel and made a nice 2" diameter hole. It was repaired without a trace by my tailor, at a cost of about 15 dollars. Doing this may help your sale.

Good luck with the sale, the henleys have an awesome fit all around and this is a killer price for a pair.

For the record, since these 2 threads were merged. The Henleys have a medium low rise fit with a slightly slimmed thigh and a very light bootcut. Very similar to a Diesel Zathan, but a slightly higher rise.
The Floyds have a lower rise (compared with the Henleys) and a wider, looser leg.

It seems as though all your R&R jeans that your selling have had problems right from when you bought them.

I have both these pairs. From the pictures, these are definitely real. The R's alone on most fakes are a very clear indication of whether they're real or not. Other than that, the washes on these look too good to be fakes.
