Looking for job in IT field

I'm looking for jobs within the IT field however am having no luck. Anything in the entry level position within networking or desktop support. I have my education within computer engineering technology at SAIT. I was recently laid off and am looking for a job for my schooling. Any hints or direction would be great. Nothing is biting for me.

Have you tried some of the many consulting companies in Calgary? Long View, Metafore, Graycon are all hiring like crazy right now.
