I have a 4 door Geo Metro [1989–1994] and the engine is not reliable anymore, I am thinking of swapping the engine with a Suzuki G13B, and the question is:

- Since the Geo Metro is basically a Suzuki Cultus and share the same platform would it fit with no modifications?
- If there were modifications would it be worth the money?
- Or am I better off selling it as it is?

It would be appreciated if you have experience and any ideas in this matter.

Pontiac firefly, geo metro, suzuki swift, etc are all the same car.

You would likely need a wiring harness and ECU for the other motor if it is not the same as the 1.0 L 3 cylinder that normally came in that car.

Isn't there some turbo firefly that is surprisingly fast? Perhaps you could drop one of those motors in there.

I wouldn't say it was fast, just less slow.
