On Saturday I went out and picked up my F30 ($299 @ TCS, cheapest in Calgary I could find), and a 2GB Fuji XD M card from Best buy ($69.99 on sale until the 8th).
I've only had it for a day and barely read the manual but I love this thing. It's mostly metal, even the door that opens to hold the battery and memory card is metal. The 2.5" LCD screen is top notch, and makes everything very easy. The controls are intuitive and easy to change reasonably fast.
There are "S" and "A" modes, which a lot of small cameras lack. Also it has a continuous focusing mode which surprised me. It will take videos at 640X480 @ 30fps but it has monaural sound, not stereo, but no big deal. You can choose the cap for the Auto ISO modes, either 400 or 1600 caps and it will pick one within that range. There are even modes for sunsets, text, flowers, etc. Macro range is 6cm or so at full wide. The F range is 2.8 (wide) to 5.6 (tele).
I find ISO 100-800 great, 1600 very acceptable and 3200 definitely usable. The camera's dimensions are i believe 3"X2"X1.1". Its the same size as Canon's SD ELPH cameras. The ISO performance out of a camera this small is amazing.
My only complaint so far is that the camera uses ISO 800 almost all the time when left on full auto, if your indoors. I have not taken any outside pictures yet. You can change this in different modes, as well as pick your own ISO so this really isn't a problem.
Anyways here are some various pictures for comparison I took while walking around my house, I will list the ISO above each picture. All handheld, I did not set up anything too elaborate but hopefully this gives you guys an idea. Flash fired on the low ISO pics, but not on the higher ones. If anyone would like to see a picture of something else at a particular setting I would gladly take one so you can see. Lol it just occurred to me as well that we have a lot of baskets of things around the house.
