i would wager a guess that its your radiator or a coolant issue of some kind, why not check the manual?

caause you dipshit, i would know considering i have the same guage cluster and if you did some reading you would find its a seatbelt light.

his sensor is prolly fucked so the light stays on

jdmXSI
03-07-2007, 11:59 PM

now now, no need for name callin', its not the seat belt light! that wouldn't cause my car to run rough at idle.

sorry that i know what it is.
look on a usdm guage cluster and notice it has one.
then look on the jdm one and notice it isnt the same
then notice when it opperates correctly it is the seatbelt light.
but in order to do that go on honda tech and look it up or even g2ic. and figure it out like i did.

then try adn call me a douchebag for knowing what it is.

jdmXSI

only diff is that it isnt USDM!

SNAATCH

you can come sit in my car and plug it in and out.
i couldent see any explenation for it working along with my seatbelt.
like honestly thats how it is on mine and thats what forums have told me, the rough idle is prolly something else and check your engine code.

i kid you not, that light represents my seatbelt.
do i have to make a video for this?

SNAATCH

the seatbelt light on the usdm. pay attention to it.
and notice how the jdm xsi one doesnt have it.
it has that one. i cant stress anymore then to say check your engine code and your drivers seatbelt clip, mine has a sensor in it.
im pretty sure yours does too.
im really gona have to bust out the camera phone for this one eh

jdmXSI
03-08-2007, 12:17 AM
Im not saying that it doesnt work on yours and its even on when my belt is plugged in. and for the engine code, i already brought it to a Honda dealer to see if they could figure it out and they had no idea what it could even be!:thumbsdow

honda genious he can help you.
i find it so hard to belive that its different from mine man.
like all these kids messageing saying its a overheating problem.
if it was a light for that then you wouldent have a engine temp guage. and why it works like that on mine.
but either way im off of this good luck pm me when you find out what it is. maybe my seatbelt is hiding something from me

I'm pretty sure it's an exhaust temperature warning light.

bluetek
03-08-2007, 12:25 AM
that light is actually the cat sensor light. In the USDM when you plug and play i think it acts as the seatbelt light.

heres a pic of the whole cluster and as you can see it has a seatbelt light and cat sensor, but some of what snaatch is saying has some truth

dude trust me you can just take the light out. Nothing is wrong with your car.

Tons of ppl have had this problem. It is just the cat sensor (catlytic converter) light acting as the seatbelt light. It mysteriously stays on dont ask me why, but its ok to remove it.

SNAATCH
03-08-2007, 12:31 AM
No problem.

No sorry....just an educated guess. And I'll take another one and say you have an 02 sensor on your cat or around it that needs replacing. But that's just a guess.

My car just idles pretty rough since the light came on though, i just wanna fix what caused it to come on. but no one knows what caused it:dunno:

jdmXSI
03-08-2007, 12:35 AM
i do have an o2 sensor for the cat, and the other thing was there's no power from 3000-4250, then it seems that it all comes back at once!

bluetek
03-08-2007, 12:40 AM
Try this: Make sure the O2 sensor is plugged in, and then disconnect battery and reset ecu. After reconnecting let the car run for about 10 mins, and hopefully then it will learn the idle.

The cat sensor light and rough idle could be related (o2 could be throwing the light off), but i also think it could be acting as the seatbelt light too. So try to fix or the idle and you will be able to tell.

If the light is still on after the idle has gone away just take the light out.

The light being tripped will screw with your ecu. So you can replace the o2 sensor or remove the cat and have a simulated sensor put on. Talk to an exhaust place.

hmm, ill have to do that, any other ideas on what it might be?

Ding ding ding!

It's a light for the heat sensor in the cat. It only comes in JDM cars. if it really bothers you, make sure your cluster is wired properly. And if it is, and the light is still on, then you can either replace the sensor, wire it up (if it isn't wired yet), or pull the bulb from the cluster. It won't affect performance in anyway.

Thanks for the advice, hopefully this works! i have already spent $600 for new plug wires and 2 new o2 sensors.:(
