Moving into the new condo on the 23rd, looking to get a nice home theater system setup :D

Looking for a receiver and a 5.1 system. Not looking for no-name brands...

For the receiver: At the very least a Sony or a Yamaha, preferably a mid-end to high-end Harmon Kardon.

For the speakers: A mid-end to high-end Polk Audio 5.1 speaker setup or equivalent.

Please post up what you have, specs, age, and the price you want. Thanks.

You may want to post a price range instead of letting people interpret what you think mid to high end is.

The reason: My theatre system cost over $10,000 and I consider it "mid" not high. A pair of Martin Logan Electrostatic speakers for $100,000 is high end IMO.

Good point... I'm looking for a system that probably cost anywhere from $1500-5000 back when it was bought, I am looking to spend up to $3000 for the right system. In my mind that's what I was thinking when I said mid-high end.

Your idea of high end kicks the shit out of my idea of high end ;)
