But then I am restricted to going slow!

theres no way you drop your 300 at 3k and you spin THAT much...maybe 8k will do that to ya!..just drop it at 3000-3500rpms..and dont just drop the clutch let it out somewhat slower and you should really need to feather the gas that much..how much power does this car have anyways?

EDIT: i just saw it says 300zx n/a under what i drive...i really dotn think you drop the clutch at 3k and spin through 1st and 2nd..

Here's the important part: What kind of tires are you running.

Also, what's your rear suspension like? Is it really worn out and squishy?

edit: The car redlines at 6,000 rpm..

Thank in advance,

What's gonna happen when you win a big lottery and you go out and buy yourself a very fast car? If you're having a hard time with an 87 300zx n/a then i don't know what to tell you man.

so do i...170hp will barely let you spin them in 2nd..i really dotn even think you can with bald tires..and oyu said you have new ones on..even tho this isnt about you being able to do it..were telling you its impossible..so there for your question is pointless!

the only way that you are doing that is if you cant drive or have something really screwed up with the car, there is no way that you should be doing that with that amount of power and that heavy of a car, and there is no difference to driving a fwd or rwd when it comes to spinning the tires (inless you are doing a brake stand or something)

lol him not being able to drive has nothing to do with it..and i dunno waht kinda problems make your car go faster with an n/a? lol..you dont need to coem to calgary and show me..i alredy know it wont happen..and will end up laughing at you..

well him not knowing how to use the clutch will do it kinda like doing a slight clutch kick every time he shifts

also has nothing to do with driving fast, also with the car having something wrong with it there is a few different things like, shitty tires (but they would have to be really bad), too much air in tires, something wrong with the suspention and who knows what else

Are you sure your car is not modded?

Maybe the previous owner put a K&N CAI and all of a sudden "BAM" you're spinning left, right and center.

Annoyingrob
03-08-2007, 11:47 PM
I bet you money it's because of your suspension. Your springs are weak causing the tires to hop when you apply power. Replace the worn springs.

Also, a wider tire, like a 225 performance tire would help too, but I would go with springs first.

You sure it's the tires spinnin' and not just the clutch? :nut:

:werd: i don't care how bald your tires are or how bad your suspension is your not spinning through first and second in a n/a 300zx unless your car is geared to do 15KM in first gear and 25KM in second.. your clutch is fucked or your driving on ice or the previous owner forgot to tell you its a 400hp twin turbo and you some how didnt notice.

you would know if it was wheel hop, and gravel will make you spin your wheels (you think someone from okotoks would know that  )

I must admit, I'm a bit jealous. I can't get any tires to spin even when I launch my car at 5000 rpm in first.:D

Seriously, even a bit of gravel or a wet road will allow your tires to lose traction. I would expect that unless you are doing clutch drops from 5000 rpm in first, you will not get the same result on a dry, clean road.

sr20dets13
03-09-2007, 12:28 AM
wow this has to be the dumbest thing ive ever seen..you say you spin through 1nd and 2nd..and we tell you its impossible unless on gravel, snow, rocks etc...and you said no..then 10 posts later you agreed to it happening in gravel..any car will spin tires in gravel..even a 50hp tercel!!!:nut: :nut: :burnout:

There is no way that you just drive along, put your foot down in a N/A 300ZX and the back wheels break loose. Maybe your clutch is gone from so many launches and your RPMs just rise and your confusing that with your rear end breaking loose :dunno:

EDIT: Just read it was on gravel, this thread is retarded.

I can spin a bicycle tire on gravel with only 1 man power.

Usually if I get about 6-8 hours sleep I'm good to go for a long time and can stay up till at least 3 or 4 in the morning the next day without feeling burnt out.

You sure you are getting enough sleep?

Apparently you don't understand some of the higher level humor eh? Dude with the comment about getting enough sleep was most likely being facetious, and it was pretty well placed if you ask me.

So, who looks like the "fukin retard" now?

quite. That's what I originally thought the OP was asking about when I first read the thread title. Lord knows, I could use some pointers on THAT topic...

there needs to be some sort of basic driving test that people have to complete before they sign up, they get 3 tries and if not then you can't join. This is just rediculous, are people just this clueless when it comes to driving? like...no common sense?
