Beyond.ca Photogs End-Of-Winter Meet: Saturday, March 31 1pm

The weather's getting warm again, so maybe it's time to set up another meet. The last one had a very successful turn out in my opinion, so hopefuly we can get the same or better. We even had a few non-Beyond members show up, which was also nice.

To those we are interested in attending, what dates work for you? I was thinking of around end of March/early April.

Venues? I'm not sure if we can set up some sort of activity, but we can always fall back on coffee/drinks/meet and greet.

Again, your skill level and type of equipment you use is not important. As long as you have some sort of interest in photography, you're more than welcome to show up.

I'm down, but i might be leaving March 22-23 (somewhere around there) to work up in Edmonton for a few weeks... and weekend are getting slim now that the construction season is starting to get back into full motion...

I'll see what you guys come up with and hopefully make it out this go round...

Always seem to be out of town these days when the shoots crop up.. :(

It was cold as a witch's tit last time.....
Not much to see. Sun set too early, a phonebooth, a parking lot outside of a church... perverted Santa....

That's what I was kind of thinking too. It seemed like a really good location, and well suited for a large group of people.

I'm wondering if we should just make it a monthly thing, ie: last Friday of every month or something, same time, same location. Just show up if you have time, but no obligation to come. Just to chit-chat and hang out.

This actually sounds like a pretty good idea. Maybe sometime later we can all pitch in $$$ and hire a model or see if any couples wants free pictures, etc...

LOL I don't think everyone shares the same passion as you for animals. Plus that means people'll have to pay to get in. I am more than glad to meet at a coffee shop or something similar.

Been there a few times, and I find that the cage bars and glass make for some difficult shooting... but that's just IMO..

The only suggestion I'm liking right now is meeting at Good Earth again. Unless someone can come up with another central location that can fit a somewhat large group of people (hopefully), let's just say we'll do Good Earth again.

How about dates/times? Please give some input as to what works or doesn't wok for you if you are interested in attending.

I am pretty flexible, except April 7th is the last Battle of Alberta, so I'm more inclined to do an afternoon meet on that day if people decide on that! Haha

Seems like the way work is going, that Sundays work best for me.. Afternoon or Evening doesn't matter... So April 1 or 8th... However I could make the other dates if it is a night meet.. :thumbsup:

I voted for Sat afternoon on the offhand chance that I will be able to make it. I will be trying my best to make it but that will depend on if we can decide where to hold it. I'd honestly prefer EuClaire, I didn't feel there was much to shoot by Good Earth. However, GE is a great meeting spot and I'm happy either way.
