I'm in the market for an AP2 if anyone knows of anything for sale.

I'm looking for something that is 100% stock with no mods. I'm not picky about color. Just want something clean and not molested.

88CRX - Just out of curiosity, what would be the rough price (perhaps PM me if you don't want to post it) on that yellow one with 9,000km on it? Don't need an exact price, I"m just trying to get a feel for what a clean, low km, stock one will cost.

I'm helping a friend search for one and AP2s fetch a pretty penny. Good luck finding one below $20,000 with 100,000 km on it.

I have literally been watching S2k prices for the last decade and good condition, Canadian AP'2 with +/- 50k km's seem to sell for around $23-$26k. Higher KM AP2's with +100k km's seem to be creeping down close to $20k.

Newer 09's sell for $30k+ easily. And you can add $3k to the price if it comes with OEM hardtop.

With that said I paid a premium for super low km mint car which I have no problem with. It was the color I wanted and if I could I'd have paid $52k for a brand new one straight from Honda.

Going to order OEM front lip this week and some CR interior pieces but that's it for this year. Want to just enjoy it stock for a little while. I'd feel bad tearing it apart when it's so new still haha.

Good price for an 08 with low miles. And that color in non-CR spec is super rare.

I keep reading about them blowing up engines with low mileage. Referred to as the " death rattle" and something about a thrust bearing.

no accidents
no tears in top

will probably need new tires and the timing belt is original so I would imagine that will need a change as well.

body is fairly clean with some rock chips here and there and a couple of really small light scratches that you would expect on a car that is 11 years old.

Would 16k be a fair price for somethign like this?

S2000's use a timing chain, should last the life of the engine.

It's not really a buyer's market right now imo since it's summer and all.

I hate the blue interior :rofl: Black interior is best :thumbsup:

Nice! I ran into another kraftworks ap1 the other day. Also tuned with toma. He made 400whp also.

It'll be interesting to see how my novi 1200 ap2 stacks up with you guys.

how much boost are you running?

Do you have a shot of your dyno sheet? I'm curious to see the power curve with this setup.

Running 15 psi. Startup isn't bad, running aem v2, def takes a couple extra seconds to start up over normal.

It's a TTS Performance full race kit, Rotrex c38-91.

Was lots of play with the fuel so no point in running the restrictor.

Also, I'll just say that I know there's no nice torque curve as there would be with a turbo setup, but I chose to go s/c'd for my personal preference of wanting more clean linear available power.

As well as a huge shout out to Danny and the guys at Speedoptions, did an awesome job with the install, answering any questions I had, went above and beyond in customer service. Highly recommend taking your vehicle there for any work!

For those of you that park your S2000 indoors over the winter, what suggestions do you have for a car cover with some "ding protection"?

I'm not going to be parking it outside, so don't need all weather protection.....just a nice, soft one for inside the garage.

I read the stock Honda cover is a good one and have also read about the covercraft (they make quite a few different ones).

Finally, are there any retailers in Canada where you can get them for a decent price? I would imagine buying the Honda cover from a local dealer would be cost prohibitive.

OEM cover isn't cheap but it is really nice. I lucked out, previous owner gave it to me with the car. Maybe look online, hardtop guy should have them in stock.

The OEM cover is very nice! I called around the dealer and ask for a quote earlier this year and will cost me $500 plus. Then I went online and purchased it from Hondapartsunlimited for $178.49. Shipping was about $60 but still waaaay cheaper than what the dealer was offering. Shipping took about 2 weeks and delivered to your door step.

Yea, I got mine done through insurance. Cascade Vans and interiors did it. They did a very good job. The only thing that was weird was because it was an ap2 top and my frame was ap1 everytime I put the top up and I had to move a bar to keep the tension. Other than that everything was good

What weight of oil would you guys suggest for an S2000, summer driving only, used occasionally.

I know the manual suggests 10W30 but I keep reading other websites suggesting 5w30 or 0w30. I know the "operating temperature" weight is the same for all 3 of those (the 30 part)......anyone running something other than 10w30 for summer use?

How can one tell if an engine wire harness is AP1 or AP2? I have an extra harness but not sure which one it is. I have had both an f20 and f22 motor in but I can't remember which one this harness is off of. :dunno:

depending on the year of the harness and when drive by wire was introduced the presence of that connector might give you an indication of year.... otherwise no clue

Got my robbins top installed this week at Degreeve's, they did a great job and the new top looks a billion times better than the old stock faded/torn top

Also had my 3M replaced with ProSkin from Shadow Tint this week as well, they did an awesome job and feels good to have old torn up 3M off the car.

Car gets detailed in 2 weeks by Jed and I should be good to go cosmetically for the year.

It cost $935 taxes in to get them to install the top. Not to take away from their business but for $2600 you might as well buy the top like I did and get them to do the install and save a thousand bucks.
