Drove an Audi A8

i drove my uncles car last night...audi a8...i think it had a 4.2 liter in it...not sure if it was a v6 or v8 or the hp....this thing was loaded all around...digital gauges all over the place...power everything even steering wheel...so he lets me take it for a spin...230 am im reached 220 on 16th ave no problem...then took the offramp at around 90-100...didnt have on bit of body roll...crazy handling for a 3500 pound sedan...ide love to have one of these:thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Well, its definatly a V8, 4.2L 40V producing 310 HP...depending on the year of the car, the HP was increased in 2001, there was also a 3.7L but that was dropped in 2001 (240hp)

Its a pretty sweet car...so big.

Its not ment to be terribly fast, 0-60 is around 8 flat, and the quarter mile is 16s...the ride quality is awesome tho, and lots of torque (302ft-lb).

Sweet ride...now tell him to go buy an s8...

1/4 Speed: 93


and if its a 2001 its 15.1 or something.................its not a track car tho...............peace

why cant u believe i did 220 on 16th? it took from 68 street to deerfoot i think thats more than enough to do over 220 even

I think he meant he couldn't believe that you would ACTUALLY go 220+ down 16th Ave. because of traffic and shit, although there isn't much traffic early in the morn. But it's totally do-able...:devil: :thumbsup:

Actually, at 2:30am, I was out on the roads, and I'm sure glad I didn't take 16th ave and risk getting smoked by an A8 going 220.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was going completly from memory, the A8 is not something i read up on alot in my spare time...

Umm, it was 2:30am, although its not the safest thing to do, neither is running into a fence, or whatever it was you did in the Beastmobile.:nut: :rolleyes:

My neighbour is on his second A8. He moved up to the larger A8-L now...Nice looking cars. I prefer the A4's/A6's though...:dunno:
I would like to drive the Passat W8, my moms Passat is pretty :barf: thank god my dad wants to get rid of it :thumbsup:

A redesigned A8 is out in Germany sometime later this year
but won't be offered here till later on as a 2004 car
increase of 25hp i believe it was
6 speed auto trans
makes 0-60 in 6.3 sec now as compared to 6.8 in the previous version
the front still looks the same
but the rear end is a different now
