Losing the cash probably hurts more than the jail time they're facing.

It was in the SUN today but they said it was only $150 million. I think they arrested an asian couple.

In transit from where it was found to the evidence lockup, 56 mill was somehow "lost". In unrelated news half of the Mexico City Police Dept. announce their retirement.

it would weigh alot more then 2500 pounds... maybe 25000 pounds. Ive off loaded 45 million in $20,$50,$100 bills off a plane for brinks and it was about 3000-4000pounds.

That is a ton of money! Literally and figuratively! The money in the back is US $ and the front is Mexican pesos. I have been down there quite a bit and recognize that money! No doubt that Mexico City has a lot of wealthier police officers now!

I read this article in the Sun, and it said they arrested a couple asians and that this bust was linked to Columbian druglords so $206 million is chump change

lol...so true.

It's a lot of cash, but it pales in comparison to the 726,000 pounds of $100 bills the Federal Reserve sent on pallettes to Iraq

sorry you said 4500 pounds. Either way it would be alot more then 4500 pounds, just from personal expeirience. $4.7million in hundreds = about 300pounds. therefore =roughly 13,149 pounds... haha probably off by alot, but it is defently more then 4500 pounds. 4500 seems heavy but when you are dealing with large amounts of paper it is crazy... compared to wood, how much the weight actually is.

p.s. reminds me of the scene in blow, when they are weighing the money, and he says 3.4million is equal to how ever many pounds. and the house is full wall to wall with money! haha, wouldnt it be nice...

Imagine breaking into that house, not knowing there's a pile of money in the basement. How much would you be able to take? Stuffing pockets with cash can only go so far, but a backpack would help a lot.:D

Money is uncomfortable as hell to sleep on. Bills are paper, they're hard. I slept on bags all the time when I was working nights on the highways. Not as cool as you would think.
