I don't know much about Civic's but was there an Si coupe in 1998? Or was the most powerful coupe the EX with the 127hp motor?

Yes, there was 1998 SI Coupes. They have the 127hp Sohc V-tec engine. The EX is the sedan version here with the engine. Down in the US, the Si coupe was called an EX.
