What springs/shocks/coil overs is everyone running in their G35s? I am going to want to lower mine a bit when the 19s go on for summer but i want to maintain stock ride quality...

I didn't touch mine, I bottom out on so many driveways in Calgary as it is, there's no way I'm lowering this car. It's already a snowplow in the winter anyways. I may look at it on the G37 if I pick one up this year but I don't suppose the ride height will change much.

right now I am just running oem shocks with sportlines.. ride isn't to bad compared to stock quality.. I am sure it's better with the prokit.

I am ordering Tien Flex coilovers right away here.

It's no hard avoiding bottoming out.. don't get me wrong I have taken out my fair share of things due to being lowered and bottoming out but stock ride height is fine.

Beauty ride!

I'm on the lookout for an 04 in red or silver right now in auto.

My 2003 M6 black on black is also up for sale as of thursday if anyone is interested-

~61k km and I'm asking $33,900. Winter wheels, tint, 3M bra with new brakes as well.

It depends what you are looking for. I use my car for business so am looking at an automatic sedan. For winter, you'll probably want to look into winter tires. I believe the Sport packages come with winter tires. I have this fixation with AWD, so I am looking at the G35x sedan which is AWD.

I know some people who can get around with all-seasons on RWD G35's in winter, but I would highly recommend getting winters. Plus the fact the the O.E. rims cost an arm and a leg each. If only the sport package would give you both winters and summers, the sport package for the coupe at least would give you the next best performance rim and wheel package. For 2003 that was the 18's with the Michelin Sports, now it's the 19's. Infiniti is good but they are definitely not that generous, and that policy seems to be logical with the name "Sport".

As for manual or auto, your choice depending on what you drive through everyday. No doubt the manual is better performing but the auto isn't a slouch either. With the commute into downtown everyday the auto also saves my sanity.

I have an auto/sport shift/paddles. I drove both and bought the auto and i am glad i did. I hate shifting gears these days. and yeah the downtown commute is painfull with a standard.

I would not own a RWD G35 with out winters. This morning my car would barely move with the winters, with all seasons there is no way. I am running on the 18" factory wheels with winters and the 19" are on order with tunerworks and should be here shortly.

With the winters i have had no issues getting around and the AWD is not that important in my mind.

Has anyone seen the new G35 sedan? I saw a fully factory-loaded dark grey one on the highway this morning and it's pretty hot.

...some asian guy driving it down deerfoot this past Tuesday night around 7PM.

Dope looking car...I'd love to see pics of it, cuz in real life it was sex.

It was modded under the hood as well...maybe not overly modded...but you could tell.

I'd buy springs for my Z, but it's going to be at least moderately lighter than stock soon, and aftermarket springs (especially stiffer ones) won't drop it nearly as much. My next purchase will probably be Stance SUS coilovers. They are supposed to grip better than the TEINs and ride better than stock. Cost about the same as the TEIN Flex I think: 1100US.

The G35 vs 350Z? Easily the Z. I'm not just defending my car, but it's 15cm shorter (as in less long) than the G and its chassis is quite a bit stiffer. Of course, it also weighs less.

My thanks to Rob and Crew at Tunerworks for staying late to make it happen on a Friday night.

But now i really need some springs... I got some 4x4 action going on.... I got to stop by Hyatt on Sat. cause they are going to have a G35 with tein springs in it for me to check out.

But i got some very nice Volk GTMs w/ Michlin Pilot sports. When i get it lowered i will post some pics.

What would you guys recommend for a rim size? My '07 G35x is on its way. I am debating either 18's or 19's and mounting winters on the stock 17's. My problem is that I need to maintain a decent ride quality.

After talking to a guy with 19's on His 07 G35 Sedan he wished he ran 20's... even with 19's you are running a 40 series tire... imo 19" atleast!!

Hmmm good to know. I don't think I'll run 20's but with a 40 series tire I might be able to get away with the 19's. Of course, the cheap asian in me comes out because 18's are SO much cheaper

I think even my salesman @ Hyatt was running 20's on his. I'll have to double check.

I am running 225/40 on the front and 255/35 on the rear.

Who is your salesman?

Do I have to stagger it too? Mine is the G35x sedan. (Please excuse my ignorance, I have NO idea when it comes to this stuff).

I bought my car from Mike Kishiuchi on April 23. It was still in Japan, so apparently it was 4 - 6 weeks away.

Yes i am running 8.5" rims on the front and 9.5" on the rear. I am not sure on the G35x. Rob at tunerworks can an answer all when it comes to wheels.

I was at the dealership on sat. all the sales guys cars i seen were on 18" or 19", those guys are too cheap to buy 20" :) Most of those sales guys dont know much about this aftermaket stuff. So dont take their word for it.

Nice choice on wheels redline. Volk GTM looks sick on the G35.

I thought you only run staggered wheels on RWD? Shouldn't you have the same size around for AWD?

I got a letter from Infiniti today about the 2007 i-key. There is going to be a recall in the fall but dont let your i-key and cell touch!!!! if the phone rings while touching the key, it can erase the key and leave you stranded!!!

This happened to me once already!!

Anybody here picking up the g37 in august/september?

I passed by the dealership to do some final questioning about colors and pricing last week. I was told 16 people have already put deposits down!

16 people? who was the sales rep you were speaking with? when I was there mid-May it was already 21. You order one now you're probably not seeing it till next year. First delivery in August is only 5 cars with 2 of those being demo's.

That looks really good! You have 19" wheels right? I love the front end of the sport, looks so much nicer than mine (G35x).

Looks like you have the navi and tech package too, how do you like it? I think for me, it was money well spent. How long have you had your '07 G?

I'll be adding some pics to this thread by next week- I'm flying out tomorrow night to Minneapolis to drive back an 04 IP Coupe w/ aero package. It has only 20k miles and it should be a pretty sweet road trip! Gonna take on the going to the sun road through Glacier National Park.

Looking at a 350Z this week. Are there huge differences between the two other than esthetics?

Stock for stock, model to model a 350Z is definitely faster then a G35C. Especially now that the 350Z has the new VQ35HR engine. This is primarily due to weight, which brings me to the other big difference, 350Z is a 2 seater while the G35 is a 2+2 with a backseat. The G35 is also longer due to this. The 350Z has a stiffer stock suspension setup then a G35 as well, which is luxury before sport as opposed to a 350Z which is pretty much just sport. There are other small things like the G35 has an integrated rear antenna while the 350Z does not, but those aren't big things.

Sorry i have been very busy the last couple of weeks and did not see this.

But yes they are 19" rims, and yes i have nav and tech. I love the car and all the options the G is great value.

I picked the car mid feb this year after ordering it in early Jan.

Hey everyone- well I guess I should post pics of the G I brought up from the US- Here it is...nothing too fancy. So far I am missing the auto but the treachery on my left knee is all gone now for those rush hour commutes- my knee problems are nearly gone after a couple months of driving auto...oh well.

Pretty damn clean car! Here are some pics after a detail by Jed from Mobile Reflections. His detail really brought out the pearl in the paint- highly recommended.
It is bone stock except for a light tint. I would like to ge the OEM 19s once I burn through the new dunlops on the car. I would also like to get the tint darker but I'm sure that would be an absolute waste of money or mess.

Just wondering Brandon, what kind of rims are you running on?
My car is as attached, I bought it last year with rims included, but no idea what kind of rims these are.
Only clue I have is the MS (motorsports) in the center of the rim.
Thanks.
