GT2NV

the only thing i find rice is the washer fluid cooling 'scoop' but in person everything else flows nicely with the car, i probably would have went with some white dtm style rims, but in person it looks really good, and it has balls to back up the looks..

rims like thise would look money

nice jetta, could use some better wheels

hjr
06-02-2003, 01:26 AM
well not rice, cause it does have a 16v, but that wing would be hard pressed to look good on any car.

Actually, I think the hood scoop would cool the coolant tank more than the washer fluid...just my $0.02...The black Mk2 is hyper-pimp

Like the car

Not so much the wheels though.

how does it having a 16v make it not rice? it'd be hot as hell with a vr6 swap.

those wheels and spoiler dont belong on a VW. not a fan of the purple interior either. and single dtm exhaust is not great.

When was this car modified to look that way. If it was done 8 or so years ago it would be widly accepted, but if it was done within the last few years, Of course its gonna catch some critisism, cause its not what is the current trend.

whoops, i guess i have a different taste than the majority replying. My bad. . . . . . . . . :thumbsdow

oh wait, wait, no, they're definitely still nice lookin. IMO played out are rims similar to the ones on the car in your Sig.. Don't lecture me, just cause I like them, doesn't mean you have to. It's not that big of a deal really.

I've been into cars since the mid 90's, and I remember when that style of wheel was popular, hell I even had g-zero's. All I'm saying, right along with most of the others in this thread, is they are ugly NOW. They belong in 1991 right along with chrome fender trim, chrome gas doors, old school five star wheels, and black headlight and tail light covers. That is my opinion.

its an 87 with 92 golf doors interior is from a passat, the moonroof was put in by himself, there was no sunroof at all before, it was an 8v, now 16v has some crazy cams, big bore intake.. high flow cat, pacesetter headers , 2.5 mandrel bend piping.. plugs and wires, port and polish and some other shit i dunno

Yeah, to change the bumpers, doors and drop in a 16V deffinatly hides ANY traits that it was an 87.
