do ipod nanos suck?

just wondering if anyone else hear is have problems with the 2nd gen nanos freezing up? mine currently is frozen and wont play. it is stuck between 2 screens and wont do anything. can you take this to an apple dealer to get them fixed? or do you have to send it away? it was bought in december from the apple web site. hust wonder what anyone's thoughts were. i tried to plug it into the desktop and still nothing works. thanks apple..

Did you try resetting it? :dunno:

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

yeah usually a reset works...but if not you have to send it in to apple to get a free replacement as long as your under warrenty...

when i sent mine in, it was so easy, no worries no hassles, you just fill out a problem form on the apple site, they send you a box with prepaid shipping label then you send the ipod and get one back like a week later! :D

It happens quite often. Ipod firmware isn't too great.

my 80gb i gotta reset after it sits not turned on for more then 12 hours.... u got the ipod cause it's an ipod, not cause it's really a good mp3 player :P
