unlock a SE k790a?

does anyone know where or who i can go to to unlock a SE k790a. i bought it online not realizing it was locked with rogers, and now i need to unlock it.

yep you can do it yourself online for 50 euros (64.99 US i believe) through davinci.

aren't phones with an "a" suffix for asian region only? do they work here?

c is for china
more commonly i is for international

just that unless it was markways 299 sale price, i don't really see the price worth buying a k790a, since you have to spend 65US to unlock it
grab a different color k800 (bronze:drool: )

when i had my k800i i could get calls even in the elevator (as opposed to other phones that i couldn't get reception in)

yes it is possible to unlock the phone. Just google davinci team and you'll see a site where you can unlock it.
