just wondering how much it would cost to add a proximity sensor to an existing alar on my car or if its even possible?

i know you guys probably think its pointless..but i want some beep/chirping...especially in the high school lot

Shouldn't be more than a few bucks (~$40) to have it installed. And yes they are pointless, you'll probably get your car keyed in the school parking lot for being annoying before you'll thwart a would be hooligan:) I had one, gave me piece of mind for a while....

I had one on my previous car and it is not worth it. People end up getting mad at the constant beeping and will take it out on your car. Just turn up your shock sensors. If you do want one they usually run about 100-140$ plus about an hour install. You may want to get a dual zone so it covers the interior as well. Sorry im not more help???

You would be spending about $80 for a single zone radar, you can choose if you want a warn away 3 chirps or full-trigger.
and about $100 for a dual zone,
